![]() The Pokémon Company hasn't revealed any new information about Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl since the titles were first announced, but that could soon change. Related: Pokémon Sword And Shield Animation Feature Discovered After Two Years It's unclear if they will feature content from Pokémon Platinum, mechanics from Pokémon Sword and Shield (like Dynamax and Gigantamax forms), or any brand new content that wasn't in the original games. The Pokémon Company hasn't shown much footage of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but they appear to be faithful recreations of the original games, all the way down to the chibi-style sprites on the overworld. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are the long-awaited remakes of the Gen IV Pokémon games, originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2006. A new PokémonPresents has been rumored for June, which will supposedly feature the release dates for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokémon UNITE. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl currently have a late 2021 Nintendo Switch release window, while free-to-play MOBA Pokémon UNITE has none so far.
